It's autumn/winter and the skeletons of the trees 

are stunning.  

Especially because these trees are new to me 

- not like Australia.

More Hangzhou - Walking to the Baopu Taoist Temple

A walk in the hills behind Hangzhou.  

Great to be in beautiful nature with fresh air.  And away from the crowds.

Below is the beautiful traditional temple garden next-door.  No longer a temple, but the garden is maintained as it once would have been.  Certainly a place of peace.

Christmas in Hangzhou - West lake

Christmas day 2017 - off on a new adventure.  

The lovely girls at work have written out the necessary info in Chinese.  

I'm off to catch my first bullet train to Hangzhou.  

No wonder West Lake is World Heritage listed. It is absolutely beautiful.  It's autumn and the colours, especially the Japanese maple are stunning.

 Feels like the whole world is out for a stroll around West Lake - and why not.
