Yurt Camp
From Nukus it was another few hours drive to the Ayaz Kala yurt camp. Freezing outside. Win, Steph and I shared a yurt and were warm
and snug overnight despite the gaps in the walls of the yurt.
Dinner in the large yurt and good local music and dancer.
Amazing stars in the sky overnight

This was on the Khorezm section of the Silk Road.
The next morning we went for a walk up to the 4th Century BC Ayaz
Kala desert fortress above the yurt camp.
Desolate landscape. Salt is visible on the land. Hard to believe that once it was lush land that grew many crops.
